bread pudding with choc chips & raisins

Assalamualaikum wbt

Do you like what you see?

Ok here's the recipe!

Ingredients:

3 table spoon of margarine
3 table spoon of sugar
1 mug of fresh milk

3 eggs

1 tea spoon of vanilla essence

i bag of small shredded gardenia bread

raisins & choc chip/ choc chunks (optional)

Instructions:

1. Blend all the ingredients except the bread.

2. Pour the blended mixture on to the shredded bread 

3. Add some rasins & choc chips (optional)

4. Bake at 180-200 degrees celcius for 15-20 minutes.

and you are all set!

It's December!

December oh December. It's school holiday u'olls!
Despite the fact that I'm in my third trimester, Alhamdullilah I'm  still able to have fun & enjoy the cuti sekolah before giving birth. Nanti kalau dah bersalin kena duduk rumah diam-diam so  sementara kudrat ni masih ada apa salahnya? Lagipun, doktor pun nasihatkan supaya banyakkan berjalan untuk memudahkan bersalin nanti Inshaa Allah. Memang kadang-kadang rasa semput tu datang juga, tapi biasalakan, nak seribu daya tak nak seribu dalih hehehe

We went there on weekdays after lunch time. And yes, it was less crowded *phew*

Mommy's day out with Naufal

When hubby was away for almost 10 days, I thought I would face hard time managing my son on my own. Considering the fact that I was 38 week pregnant on that time, I could not believe that I can successfully babysit Naufal without relying too much on my personal "talian hayat". What is "talian hayat" then?  All this while, I've always believed that mak, abah , zetty & my hubby are my 'talian hayat' . Most of the time, they would assist me on looking after Naufal especially when I have urgent things to do! *covering face*

Don't get me wrong here! My Adam Naufal is a happy boy and he is not the type who can easily throw tantrum. It's me myself who always has the doubt in my own way of raising my own kid & for being too dependent on other people. Sometimes, you just need the extra hand when handling an active toddler (alasan je ni!)

 Subhanallah, Allah is the best planner of all.
I realized that He gave me such challenge when I was heavily pregnant and not during other time. Seriously, when everyone was away I doubted myself whether I could handle Naufal on my own. Alhamdulillah, this test by Allah has given me the strength and courage for not being too dependent on other people. I always set in my mind that Allah is with us and I always remind myself to stay positive as well. After all,  He is there all the time.  I tried to overcome whatever negative thoughts that distracted my mind by having interesting plans / activities to do with Naufal . Alhamdulillah, syukur Allah has eased everything for me. The experience was not that bad though. Mommy and Naufal really had good time together.
Inshaa Allah, may Allah show me the way to become a supermom especially when the second one is coming...soon!

While I was doing some reading on babywearing, I came across this interesting article on the right way to bathe newborn. Surprise, surprise!! Walaupun dah nak masuk anak ke 2, rasanya ini first time terbaca cara yg jelas lagi terperinci mengenai cara yang betul untuk memandikan bayi baru lahir.

Cara Dan Adab Memandikan Bayi Baru Lahir

Bayi baru lahir adalah khalifah Allah yang baru menjengah dunia selepas sembilan bulan tinggal di alam rahim. Justeru ibu bapa yang beragama Islam mestilah menyambut kelahirannya mengikut cara yang dianjurkan oleh Islam.

Antara yang mungkin kita semua tidak beri perhatian adalahtatacara memandikan bayi baru lahir iaitu dari usia sehari hingga 40 hari. Dalam tempoh ini, kaedah mandian memainkan peranan penting dalam membentuk aliran darah dan pembentukan tulang yang baik.

1. Seeloknya mandikan bayi pada waktu dhuha, kerana pada waktu tersebut fisiologi kitaran darah dan degupan jantung bayi dalam keadaan tenang. Gunakan air yang suam.

2. Siraman pertama perlu dimulakan ke atas belakangnya secara perlahan-lahan, kemudian baru disiramkan ke kaki, seterusnya naik ke bahagian punggungnya.

3. Belaian dan gosokan lembut memainkan peranan penting semasa memandikan bayi. Ini akan membuatkan pengaliran darah bayi lancar dan baik. Siraman disertakan dengan sapuan sabun yang sesuai untuk bayi.

4. Seterusnya siram dari belakang hingga ke kepala. Siraman di kepala dilakukan secara perlahan, supaya air tidak mengalir masuk ke dalam lubang telinga. Semasa menyiramkan air di belakang kepala ke bahagian hadapan dahi, tangan digunakan untuk menggosok dahi.

5. Sebaiknya tugas memandikan bayi dilakukan oleh bapa. Sambil memandikan, hati berzikir Ya Latif, Ya Hadi.

6. Pastikan siraman tidak dilakukan pada muka bayi kerana ia boleh melemaskan bayi serta menyebabkan lubang hidungnya lembap seterusnya mudah selesema atau jangkitan kuman.

7. Siraman yang terakhir, dilakukan ke atas dada seterusnya hingga ke bawah. Tidak digalakkan menyapu sabun pada bahagian hadapan tubuh bayi usia ini, kerana bimbang air dan sabun menyebabkan bahagian pusatnya lembap dan seterusnya melambatkan proses ‘gugur’ tali pusat.

8. Selepas selesai mandi, lapkan seluruh badan bayi dengan tuala yang bersih. Cara mengelap dimulakan dari kepala kerana kelewatan mengelap bahagian kepala boleh menyebabkan kepala dan ubun-ubun bayi basah serta membawa masalah paru-paru lemah.

Sharing is caring. I think this info is very useful for first time parents too. Alhamdulillah, syukur sangat2 bila waktu Naufal dulu ada mak bidan & mak yang super hebat dalam bab2 mandikan baby. Kalau nak kena buat sendiri memang kena search la dekat YouTube lol!

As you can see, some of the steps above are slightly different from most videos available online. There's no exact right or wrong way to bathe your baby . Fundamentally, you must have the confidence and believe in yourself when handling your newborn.

kisah lucky draw saya

I once thought that I will never be lucky for any lucky draw event.
I'm sure many of us agree that there are some lucky people who always get picked as the lucky draw winner! Asyik-asyik muka yang sama jeeee dapat kan?? (eh bunyi macam jeles je ahahaha)

 As far as i'm concerned, I was never that so-called lucky person 

However, I realized that m.a.n.t.r.a was suddenly changed!

For the past 9 months, I was suddenly became one of the lucky ones!
Surprisingly, I discovered that at the early stage of my pregnancy and it continues up till now. Ecewah... macam tidak percaya pun yer ;p

 Syukur ke hadrat Illahi, rezeki baby dalam perut ni=)
Memang tidak dinafikan lagi, kehadiran anak dalam sesebuah keluarga membuka lebih banyak pintu rezeki bukan setakat dari harta kekayaan ia termasuk la dari segi kesihatan tubuh badan.

HI-Tea SEMENTAS 2014

Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to be part of the school event for the last time before moving to another school next year.

The school organized Hi-Tea at Grand Season Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. 

Overall, I would rate the place 5 out of 10 points. It's just an average place with poor ventilation (note: the Olas Restaurant is at Basement 1 with poor air-condition system).  It was quite stuffy when you had more than 100 packs in a not so big area in which the chairs were arranged too close to one another! Therefore, for those who came with small kids/ babies , the atmosphere and setting are not conducive for them to move around (note: only 5 or 6 high chairs were available although we requested for more). As for the food, the choices are quite limited but the taste was not that bad! Syukur Alhamdulillah for that! In terms of the overall service, personally the whole committee and I felt a bit disappointed with the hotel management. The staff especially the manager in charged were not approachable and not being helpful. Upon making reservation, the hotel management had agreed on several things that we requested for the hi-tea. However, we did not get what we requested. In fact, we were blamed for making so-called inefficient reservation with the hotel management. The situation became quite awkward when the manager started to boast his credibility in organizing any event at the hotel straight to us as if like it was our first time ever having such event outside of the school. Eventually, we decided to just make do with whatever things the hotel had provided for us and proceed our event. I guess that's the best thing to do at that time instead of arguing endlessly with the manager.

Let's put aside the not so fond memory of the day and talk about our school Hi-Tea.
The theme was Glamorous & Glittering. As expected, most of the teachers (the ladies especially) were looking absolutely stunning from head to toe. Everyone who came received a door gift and a lucky draw prize! The grand prize of the lucky draw was a LCD TV! Even though I did not get the grand prize, my lucky draw prize was not that bad too lol! I got a Pensonic coffee maker. ok la kan? kan??

By the end of the day, everyone had great time spending time with each other.
Most importantly, none of us went home empty handed =)
